I love cars. Today I took the chance to visit the Meilenwerk in Boeblingen near Stuttgart: http://www.meilenwerk.de .
Yeah it was a beautiful day. There is no entrance fee or so. A Hotel is attached as well as a Restaurant and bar. Lots of beautiful cars, old and new. Fast and slow. Some motorbikes. You can as well rent some (Ferrari...).

Bye Bye Mallorca
Well, of course each vacation has its end. So we returned after almost a week in the already very mild and warm island of Mallorca to the partially still snow covered and icy germany.
On our last day we went to the old part of Palma. The beautiful cathredal La Seu. Some rain made our plans a bit shorter. But overall we were a bit sad to leave.

The Ryanair flight was 30 minutes earlier in Frankfurt Hahn than scheduled. That was good, because we arrived at 22:00 and driving is about 2 hours. We will be back in the south one day, we love it :-)

A sunny day
After the heavy rain last evening/night we had a beautiful, sunny saturday. About 13-15C and lots of sun (and some wind). So we drove to the El Arenal Beach. That beach is one of the most popular beaches on Mallorca. Well known for the Balneario 6, a bar at the beach were lots of drinking is takiung place in the summer. Most of the young german, british, dutch toursits go there for Sangria, beer, topless girls on the beach etc.
Today it was the total opposite. All closed, just sun, beach and wind :-)
Tonight we went to the "Schnitzelhaus" in Portopetro. We met the owner on the flight to Palma and he told us to visit if we have time. So we had time and it was really god Schnitzel place (escalope) . I had the XXL Version, which is 3 thin "Schnitzel" with fries. There is also a normal version and a XL version :-)
We enjoyed it, so when you go to Mallorca and you like Schnitzel, go to the Schnitzelhaus in Portopetro.
Me finishing the XXL Schnitzel Diabolo, first of three Schnitzel is already gone :-)

Palma Aquarium
We had a lot of rain last night and this afternoon, evening. Also a power outage last night. That was the perfect weather for a visit of the Palma Aquarium. The entrance fee is not really cheap (19,50 Euro Adults, 15 Euro Children) compared to other Aquariums we visited. But the Aquarium is pretty big and very well done. So the deal is ok.
A seahorse...always lovely
Amazing the camouflage...
The Jungle is also there at the Aquarium, with a waterfall
That was a huge moray
Did you find Nemo ? :-)
The blue water and the quiet atmosphere was very relaxing, also for the kids
The kids loved it

A daytrip to the north of Mallorca
Another beautiful day on the Island of Mallorca. Some rain in the late afternoon / evening. We made a trip to the north of Mallorca to some lonesome spots, narrow, winding roads...
But first a nightshot from our pool
Some sideroads
One of the many windmills on Mallorca
The two boys rule the beach
Cap de Formentor
our Familypic
also with mom and dad
coastline
even with Garmin Lifetime updates (from two weeks ago) we found out (not the first time) that some Navigations are misleading. This road is obviously not just closed since last week
some impressiuon of the driving through the narrow, winding roads. Some were only a wide as one car.

More pictures from Mallorca
We escape the snow - welcome Mallorca
Mobile Shot of the old Farm House here at Son Antem
Macroshot of some flowers blooming in front of our house
View at the mountains of Mallorca and the golfcourse
Our Villa , and lots of green
Carport, where lots of birds live that leave their poo on our rental car
View from our terrace to the pool
Ryanair Airport Frankfurt Hahn...still lots of snow there
We were tired of the snow and already last year we booked a trip to Mallorca, to a nice 5 star resort for a very reasonable price. We have a fully equipped Villa, +16C, sun, a little rain, mild air, blooming flowers...LIFE
after 7 weeks of lots of snow, shoveling snow...this is paradise
