Knock Out Festival 2017

Yeeha, headbangers come together. It was Knock Out Festival again in Karlsruhe. Steffen, Olav and I met again. We met also Jörg and Claudi (they live in Karlsruhe).
Powerwolf, Doro Pesch, Aevirium... and more.
It was a lot of fun the other friends from Darmstadt. We had aexhausting, loud, funny weekend. We stayed again in the Leonardo Hotel next to the venue.

I love cale. Cale with the tasty sausages (Bregenwurst). So I made some with Dagmar together. Cale Menu for friends and us.

New "old" Rims, New *old" car

I own my Cougar since it was new from the dealer. That was April 1999. In 2001 I sold my old original rims, because the tires were pretty expensive. Ford at that time had only Michelin tires for more than 200 Euro per tire and Bridgestone. So I bought my INXX rims, 17 inch and sold the orignal Cougar rims.
Last year I found some original Cougar rims for a pretty good price. I bought them. Since I put the Cougar into a Garage now, I finally put the old rims back on the cat. It looks great.

The reason why I put the Cougar in the garage is my "new" 1992 Mazda 323 (BG). I bought it for a pretty good price from our Citroen dealer.
I was sick of the late public Transportation VVS here in and around Stuttgart. In the past 7 years it took me at least 2 1/2 hours a day to get to work and back. I spent so much time in the trains and transtations, when another train did not come due to technical issues etc. that I decided to get back on the road.
Yes, it is a bit more expensive than the train ticket (97 Euro). But the 300km per week / 1200km per months are ok. I save at least 5 hours a week. 5 hours that I can spend with my family or with other important things.

The little Mazda only 92000km after 25 years. Was owned by a 83 year old lady. It is an 1.6L 88PS Automatic. Average consumption right now a bit more than 9L/100km.
The old lady had a accident last year and my Citroen/Mazda Dealer bought for cheap, fixed it pretty good, made a new service and technical control. He used it as a customer car. That's how we got to it.
It is really in pretty godo shape. Some dents and scratches on the side...a usual old man / lady scenario. But it is great.
Kids and wife love it as well.
Now it is my daily driver.

14th Spitzkraut Classics 2017 - Filderkrautfest

What a wonderful day. A real golden October with 25C, sun, blue sky.. and lots of cars. We participated again at the 14th Spitzkraut Classics. It was a nice lineup of historic cars, tractors, bikes etc.
Only bad thing was a little planning issue, where the police cut of the way of the cars. They did not open a barrier so we had to cut off the long drive around, bad for the people, that could not see lots of beautiful cars. Anyway, many saw us at the Krautfest area.

Cougar Meeting at Ritter Sport / Motorworld

Finally we had a little Cougar Meeting again in the Stuttgart area. I planned the little Meeting to start at the Ritter Sport Chocolate Factory / Store in Waldenbuch. At our last meeting we talked about chocolate..that's how we had this idea. The October weather was simply beautiful. Sun, warm temperature and blue sky.
At 14:00 we met at the Ritter Sport Factory, 5 Cougars. After some Chocolate shopping etc. we drove to the Motorworld in Boeblingen. Eating at the Tower66 Steakhouse.
It was a great day, great talk and we had new ideas about 2018 .. more to come, here are some pics:
