Oldtimer Meeting in Ebersbach an der Fils

It was my first time visiting the Oldtimer Meeting at the MUSEUM PATINA in Ebersbach an der Fils. About 35km away from my house.

The weather was gorgeous today, 25C, sun, blue sky...so cleaned the Trabant a bit and drove across the countryside to the Meeting.

What a blast, hundreds of cars and even several other Trabants were there. Bitter, Ford, Mercury, Gogomobil, Heinkel, MG, Mercedes, Porsche, VW, Audi... you name it. Motorbikes...
all located at the Museum Parking.

Berlin Wall and Trabant

On November 9th 2014 it is then 25years, that the Berlin Wall came down. East and West Germany united.
Many good things happen, as well as of course not so good things. But for me this was the best thing ever. I found...13 years after the wall came down, my wonderful wife Dagmar. She is from the former GDR. I also found my little jewel, the little Trabant a few years later, also a piece of german history.
Yesterday I finally took the chance to take a picture at a piece of the Berlin Wall that is located at our IBM Germany Headquarter in Ehningen near Stuttgart.
The Trabant and the Wall are a piece of German history...

Rügen and a day trip to Sweden

Once more we have all the possible luck regarding the weather. Temperatures in the mid 20C and lots of sun. A great farm where the kids can feed and pet the animals (Chicken, pigs, ducks, goose...) we love Rügen. We also made a day trip with the Stena Line from Sassnitz to Trelleborg.
