Fredericksburg

In so many trips to Austin I did not visit lovely Fredericksburg so far. Well. it is known for the german heritage and all the german places, restaurants etc. Since I always said, that I can have german food etc. back in Germany I never drove there. But luckily a good old friend who now lives in the US moves to Fredericksburg and so they invited me to see lovely Fredericksburg.
This little town is worth every mile from Austin and even further.
We stayed at a little Motel in Fredericksburg, close to the "downtown" with the Lindenbaum, Hondo's, Alter Fritz and also the Otto's.
Otto's was one of the best Restaurants I went in the US. Even the great Restaurants from the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) near Poughkeepsie are not better. I had a very special Wurstplatte. A Currywurst with Curry inside, potatoes ... then Steak Frites from the Wagyu Beef and a Creme Caramel as the dessert. Hmmmmm. That was soooooo good.
See their Webpage. When you go to Fredericksburg. go there...

We also visited the Pacific War Museum...A very good made, modern Museum about the Pacific War and Admiral Nimitz.
