A trip to Luxembourg

Well, I was not travelling to Luxembourg to bring my money there to a little Bank or so... No, but I was on a business trip to little Luxembourg. Visiting a customer site and of course make some sightseeing in the evening. Luxembourg is really small...We went from belgium border to french border. Luxembourg is really nice and clean and very quiet and it almost looks like a perfect little world. Most of the houses I saw while driving through and around Luxembourg City and the small towns around were very clean and in very good outside condition. Roads clean...Nothing to complain about :-)
They have low sales tax and a very nice country with very friendly people. Most of them speak also german. So if you are looking for a nice place to go... LUXEMBOURG

Fest at the Farm

A friend had a big festival at his Farm south of Stuttgart. See http://bauer-rott.de
Lots of things to see and lots of stuff to eat. The weather was perfect, some sun, no rain and mild temperatures.
The kids had a lot of fun seeing all the animals, playing and taking a ride on the tractors trailer.
See the pictures.

Little EURO NECO Cougar Meeting at Meilenwerk Stuttgart

We scheduled a tiny EURO NECO Cougar Meeting at the Meilenwerk Stuttgart/Boeblingen. We were only 4 Cougars, but it was a very nice meeting. All the old and classic cars shown in the Meilenwerk are worth it. So we spent some hours with watching, talking, eating, drinking (at the Restaurants attached). Check the http://www.meilenwerk.de Homepage for details on that location.

Thunder and lightning

Tonight it started with thunder and lightning after another hot and sticky day. The summer came late this year but now with a lot of heat. Above 30C (90F) and no AC of course at home. But now a little windy and cooling Thunderstorm came by. Not much rain here, but some wind and as you can see beautiful lightning. Took a while to get that pic :-)

4:0 Germany vs. Argentina and 1st Place at 4th int. SchwobaCup as a Team

Wow, what a match on saturday. What fantastic game for germany, what a shame for Argentina...Germany really plays like a worthy upcoming World Champion. Let's see.
On Sunday I started with Fabian as my Navigator at the 4th international SchwobaCup, a Young and Oldtimer Rallye for cars age 20 and older.
Was our 3rd participation. Once 2nd in the class for cars 20-29 years, once 7th and now 9th (out of 20). But in the Team category we made 1st place as "Die Wilden Kerle". That was Hansjoerg with Marcus in a Porsche 911, Jochen and his mother in law in a Mercedes SL and Fabian the great Navigator and me in the Trabant 601.
What a lot of fun.
The weather forecast was not good, some thunderstorm and rain was predicted for the morning. Well, We had rain in morning and lots of rain in the afternoon. We were almost swimming back home instead of driving. But more than 40 wonderful cars participated and made this a great event. The trip went from Ehningen near Stuttgart to the northern part of the Black Forrest (100km each trip) and back.
