IX. US Car Meeting Stuttgart

It was the ninth US Car Meeting here in Leinfelden-Echterdingen. Originally this meeting took place at the famous Beergarden - Schwabengarten. But due to construction etc. there was not enough space left and they moved it to the Fairgrounds in Stuttgart. Well, it could be worse, but to be honest, it was a not so nice start for the new place. In my opinion. But I attended many many US Car meetings. Many also in the US.
This year they also charged for the Meeting. It was not too much, just 4 Euro, 10 Euro for a Family. But in the past it was for free and they made the money at the beer garden.
When I arrived around 2pm it was pretty empty. A few dozen cars. Some newer ones, some older ones. Some people selling stuff like decals, Clothes etc. but not that much. Food wise was a bit disappointing. When I go to a US Car meeting I want to smell the BBQ smell. I want to smell smoke from the grill. Here you could buy some "Rote Wurst" , fries, Chili, Burgers. But nothing really authentic. No real Burgers, Ribs, Pulled Pork or so. Swabian like food. Not bad, but not what I want to see there in general.
I hie the next times it will be better. But it was not the best meeting I went to. A bit disappointing.

Amsterdam

I had the opportunity to participate a IBM Team Meeting in Amsterdam. I have never been to the City before, only Schiphzl Airport. But I have to admit, that that was a big mistake. The City of Amsterdam is simply amazing.

We stayed at the Best Western Apollo near the Rijksmuseum.
Weather was not the best, but who cares.

That city is beautiful... I never saw so many bicycles and electric cars. Scooters and bees are allowed on the same bike lanes (which are very wide). No helmets.
Lots of Teslas and other electric cars.
That City is definitely worth a travel...multiple times. I have to get back with my wife and the kids.
