Rocktober - April Art - Those Damn Crows - Nestor

 After seeing Those Damn Crows already at the Burg Esslingen Open Air in July with tAKiDA, Dagmar and I made October to our Rocktober Month. Oct. 2nd April Art, Oct. 9th Those Damn Crows and Oct. 17th Nestor.

On Oct.2nd we went to the Wizemann in Stuttgart. A nice location with three different venues. April Art with the amazing, powerfull singer Lisa had League of Distortion as the opener, Also a great Band with a great singer Anna (Partner of Kissin Dynamite Singer Hannes). 
April rocked the Wizeman.#

Exactly a week later we drove to Frankfurt. Those Damn Crows (my current favorite Band) was playing at the Bett. A small, lovely location near the fair in Frankfurt. We booked a cheap, close Hotel and walked over. Was also a a great Concert with the young, rocking James Brunner as the opener.
Shane and his Crows rocked like crazy. That was a wonderful night.

On Oct. 17th Dagmar and I again drove to Memmingen as the year before to see the swedish Band Nestor. Those guys with the 80s Rock Energy made our evening. A Gun Called Britner from Hamburg was the opener.

 

I was not fully fit, but enjoyed the Concert with Dagmar.

Burg Esslingen / Castle Esslingen - tAKiDA Live with Those Damn Crows as a opener

 This was one of our Highlights in 2025. The historic, impressive site in Esslingen. Castle Esslingen. They use that location in the summertime for concerts and Open Air Cinema. So we got Tickets for the amazing swedish Band tAKiDA and my current favorite Band Those Damn Crows as a opener.

I saw them in 2024 already and this time Dagmar, who is also now a huuuuge fan of swedish Rock Bands like tAKiDA, Ghost, Nestor etc. , came with me. We planned this day very relaxed. I took off from work and we drove to Esslingen (20 minutes from home). Esslingen has a very nice, historic center with nice little Restaurants, Bars etc. We went to the outstanding Kessler Sekt Bar. Kessler Sekt is one of the best sparkling wine you can get.

We also made a reservation at the Burgschenke. That is a very good Restaurant directly at the Burg / Castle Esslingen. Directly at the concert location. So this was perfect. We walked up to the castle and we bypassed the normal concert entry about 2 1/2 hours prior the concert took place. We had a beautiful table on the terrace with a view to the concert area. We listened to the sound check of Those Damn Crows. How cool is that. 
So we ate some delicious Käsespätzle (for Dagmar) and Zwiebelrostbrate for me, a few drinks, some desert. Many other concert goers also had the same plan to eat / drink before the concert starts and then go directly to the Main Entrance. We were really lucky. We were allowed to stay in the Restaurant area. Our line was very short and so we were one of the first guests to enter the area. Dagmar was in the second row while I was buying a Those Damn Crows Shirt. 
We met some crazy tAKiDA / Those Damn Crows fans that drove the EVERY Concert in Germany. 
We were happy to see them here. Weather was great, not too hot, dry, no rain. 

So we were more or less in the second / third row from the stage so Dagmar can see much better. Well I was one of the tallest there and had a very good view.
Later at the Those Damn Crows Show, Shane the Leadsinger gave me even a high five :-) That was great.
This was a perfect evening with two amazing Bands. Later in October we will see Those Damn Crows again as the Main Act in Frankfurt.
tAKiDA was breath taking. Robert, the singer has such a amazing voice and his Band gave a great show. Goosebumps. We also met some nice other fans, since I am that tall and Dagmar is that short :-)
