Yeeha - I was travelling quite often for IBM in the past 37+ years. Since projects were more and more made virtually and travel costs were cut down it was less and less travel in our Service / Support Area.
So I was realyl happy to have the opportunity to tavel to Sofia, Bulgaria in March. My first rip ever to that region and so I was really curious. My former Mangers were both from Bulgaria and I only met them online. My new PowerVS Cloud team is partially in Sofia and I was about the perform some skill transfer to them. So I travelled from Stuttgart to Munich then to Sofia. My colleagues that already been to Sofia recommended the Sofia Balkan Palace in the middle of Sofia. Travelling inside Sofia via the Metro was easy and cheap. Around 80cent per trip. My bulgarian colleagues took good care of me. So we visited some nice restaurants and some places in Sofia. Unfortunately I had not enough time to make a sightseeing tour or so, but Sofia is really a nice place to go.
Thanks to Alex, Vladimir, Teodor, Kiril, Alex, Galina, Metodi, Tanya Mila, Martin for that nice experience. Another Team with some former german colleagues was also in Sofia at the same time, so I had lots of great folks around me. My colleagues also gave some presents - delcious Rakia :-) and Beer from Bulgaria.
