Vacation time... Baltic Sea...

Our family hit the road again for our Vacation. Visiting friends and family and staying a few days on the beautiful Island Ruegen / Baltic Sea. We had lots of luck with the weather. Even time for the beach and some sandcastles and swimming in the 19C Water.
Our new Citroen Jumpy did a great job. Good gas mileage for a fully loaded Van. between 7L /100km and 8.5L / 100km.
At the Farm in Lubkow/Ruegen the kids had a lot of fun feeding the animals and baking etc. with Grandma Ott (that's how she is called).

11. International SchwobaCup 2017

Yeeha, it was time again for the 11th international SchwobaCup Young- and Oldtimer Rallye to the Black Forrest. 88 cars and lots of fun. Paul, Fabian and I did a good job. We finished 18th out of 53 cars in our class. Weather was perfect.

Rebuilding the Trabant Gearbox

After I participated the Seminar with Klaus Brinkmann I already planned to rework my gearbox. It was leaking a bit and the 4th gear won't work all the time. The parts were bought and it was my second vacation week. I removed the engine and gearbox from the car and started to disassemble the gearbox. I replaced the parts, cleaned everything and put it back together. A clean, working gearbox does a even better job now. The 4th gear works just perfectly.

I am soooo happy that I did that.
