Blues on the Green

Again it was a hot day. More than 100F during the day and still 93F in the evening. We went to the last Blues on the green Concert at Zilker Park, Austin. Since 20 years they make several concerts in the summer. Free, but great acts. Lots of good music. So we enjoyed with a lot of sweat the concert with Nakia and the top act - Raul Malo (Grammy winner). Was fun, people were dancing, singing...kids were playing on the green. It was very relaxed and not stressfull at all. Here is a link to the KGSR Homepage (Radio) with facts about Blues on the Green:

Afterwards we got stuck in traffic, because Highways was under construction at night and it went from three to one lane. We finally arrived at the Dallas Dance Nightclub : http://www.danceatdallas.com/
Was fun to see the people with Coyboy outfit dancing... Was fun.

FUKENGRÜVEN

Ok, I will make it short. : FUKENGRÜVEN is not a bad word or so. Even though as a german I thought first, it is another F*** word.
Well, what happens if a company, in the case Volkswagen, makes some advertisement with the german word: Fahrvergnügen ?
Yes, nobody outside germany or a german speaking country can really understand and speak the Umlaut Ü, They don't understand the whole word so it kind of evolves to a new word. This new word is FUKENGRÜVEN - the americanized Fahrvergnügen / driving pleasure.
See a german news article at the Wirtschafts Woche: http://www.wiwo.de/technik-wissen/fukengrueven-95043/
Many VW's have a sticker on their back. Just google some images on Fukengrüven and you will see what I am talking about. So, now finish this Kindergarten and back to Maloche :-)

Moon and beer

A more relaxed evening at the NXNW (North by Northwest)
Brewery/Restaurant tonight with the colleagues. We were
all a bit tired either due to Jet Lag or the long nights on 6th
Street :-)
A beer sampler at NXNW was nice, I like the amber and
Hefeweizen most.
At a mexican place we had some last Margarita, frozen of
course.
The beer sampler, beer on the upper right was a Belgian tripple, the
worst in our case (at least we all did not like it)
A surprisingly nice shot of the half moon. With my 14x optical zoom
and some Paint Shop Pro "fixing" it looks not too bad...
